Following the Recent killing Of the 7 suspected Fulani herdsmen in Gboko town which led to the imposition of a Dusk to Dawn curfew on Gboko local government area of benue on Wednesday 31st 2018.
Governor Ortom announced the lifting of the curfew that was imposed on Gboko Town due to security threats since January 31st.
The Governor's Special Adviser on Media and ICT Mr Tahav Agerzua said this today 6th February in a statement in Makurdi .
The Governor had a meeting with the heads of security agencies and Leaders of the Benue motorcycle Association (BEMOA) Where he announced the lifting of the curfew.
He emphasized that the victims were not Fulani as reported in some quarters whereas the criminals who carried out the act would be apprehended and prosecuted by the law.
He Finally urged that the infringements should be reported to the appropriate authorities such as the Police and not to take law into their hands. He also expressed his gratitude to the BEMOA for their assistance in tackling the security threats.
